TCDIC was established in 2015 in response to the Chinese National Strategy written in 12th five-year plan to develop creative and culture industry as one of the core pillars of the Chinese Economy in the next 20 years. The industry cluster strategy has proven to be the most effective way to bring the economic prosperity of the regional economy. There are also lots of innovative talents working at culture-tech industry domestically and globally. Shanghai is the most international city in China with efficient public and market mechanism, and Lingang Free Trade Zone has the best policy, financial, tax and logistic conditions to facilitate cross boarder investment and trade. 

 

Therefore,  establshing a industry cluster specialized in culture-tech industry, operated by a private entity, but endorsed by national and regional goverment, at Lingang Free Trade Zone in Shanghai will not only bring innovative talents all over the world to work in Shanghai, the cross boarder collaboration can also export their solutions to the world. In addition to that, the industry cluster will also bring prosperity to the local economy by accelerating innovation and domestic retail and entertainment consumption.
